Huntingtown native Tim Todd has plans to pay off some bills after adding the Megaplier feature to his ticket to quadruple his third-tier-winning prize on a ticket sold at Wawa in Dunkirk on Kirksville Lane earlier this month.

The big winner said he was running errands when he decided to check his $15 quick-pick ticket, at which point he received an unusual message: "Go To Lottery."

"I said, 'this must be something good,''" the 52-year-old electrician mused.

An avid Washington Commanders fan, the lucky lotto player said that he typically adds the extra dollar to include the Megaplier to his tickets, which paid off big time.

"I do it all the time," he said. "It's more money that you can win."

Todd added that he "has the habit of purchasing a ticket, folding it in half and placing it in his wallet for good luck. He also likes to purchase five lines on each ticket, even though his wife requested him to purchase one line for each drawing."

"I was happy when I won on the third line," he joked.

Todd said that he plans to use the prize to pay bills but is undecided on how he is going to spend the rest of the unexpected windfall.
